Mississippi State Football: 3 takeaways from win over Louisiana in Week 1
2. Kylin Hill is going to be fun to watch in 2019
Kylin Hill showed flashes of brilliance as a sophomore in 2018, rushing for 734 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 6.3 yards per touch. He entered the 2019 season as the team’s No. 1 back and looked to be a breakout candidate in the SEC and a contender to reach that 1,000-yard mark.
The junior got the 2019 season off on a great foot, finishing just shy of 200 yards on the day with 197 and a touchdown on 27 attempts. He averaged 7.3 yards per carry and looked like a threat to break off that big run at any moment.
Let’s face it, folks, Hill is going to be extremely fun to watch in the SEC this season.
While he might not be the best running back in the conference, he will push for an all-conference team before it’s all said and done, especially if the line can keep opening holes for him and he can use that vision and speed to make defenders miss with regularity.
Hill makes the offense that much more dangerous and he’s only just starting.
