2. Jonathan Taylor and the offense looked dangerous

Everyone who plays the Wisconsin Badgers knows what they are going to see. You are going to see a big offensive line, and a power running game. What the Badgers have missed the last couple of years is an efficient passing game with the ability to take shots down the field. Jonathan Taylor was Jonathan Taylor tonight with 135 yards on only 16 carries in a short night. He also added a couple of catches and a couple of receiving touchdowns.

Jack Coan and the passing game was a fantastic complement to the run game tonight. He completed a high percentage of his passes (73 percent) and had one long completion (38 yards) to Taylor. Although the wide receivers longest reception was 17 yards by Quintez Cephas, the game got out of hand early, and Coan took some shots down field.

A complementary passing game makes the Badgers dangerous. One of the reasons the Badgers were so successful tonight was that the Bulls couldn’t load the box to defend Jonathan Taylor due to the passing game. Also, when they loaded the box, the Badgers did a good job throwing out of their run formations.
