After a slow start, Notre Dame football finished strong against Louisville, 35-17. Let’s take a look at what we learned from this game.

Despite the game being played in Louisville, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish entered this game as 18.5 point favorites over the Cardinals. However, given Louisville’s 2-10 record in 2018, and this being Scott Satterfield’s first game as the head coach of the team, it makes sense that the Irish were projected to win by three scores. It looks like Vegas was right as the Irish won by exactly 18 points.

The game remained close early on. Louisville and the Fighting Irish traded scores, and the teams headed into halftime with Notre Dame winning 21-14. However, the Irish came out of the locker room ready to show the college football world why they are ranked at number nine in the country.

Coach Brian Kelly’s squad pulled away and finished the game strong with a 14-3 half, allowing the Irish to win, 35-17.

It looked like Louisville was going to have a shot at upsetting the Irish, which raised doubts about the Notre Dame team. Let’s take a look at what we learned after we watched and processed the entire game.
