How will Big 12 football shake out this season? Will the Sooners win the Big 12 again? Is Texas really back? Is there a challenger we won’t see coming?

Everyone in the Big 12 won their games in Week 1 although the competition wasn’t necessarily fierce (no disrespect Nicholls State, Stephen F. Austin and James Madison).

Jalen Hurts looks like he wants to be in New York to win the Sooners a third straight Heisman Trophy. The Iowa State Fighting Matt Campbell’s survived a scare against Northern Iowa. Texas looked good against Louisiana Tech and TCU beat a team I didn’t know had a football program (OK, that was mean to say about Arkansas-Pine Bluff).

Hey, even the Kansas Jayhawks got a win in their season opener. Did Les “The Mad Hatter” Miles get as emotional as Mack Brown after Carter Stanley threw the game-winning touchdown pass against the formidable Sycamores from Indiana State?

With all due respect to Barry Switzer and “hangin’ half a-hundred” on everyone, here’s the Big 12 power rankings for Week 1.
