The podcast returns this week to break down the week one college football action as well as previewing a big week two across the country.

College football is finally back in full swing, and while week one might not have had the juiciest of matchups, there was still plenty of excitement with upsets and outstanding performances by the game’s most talented players.

The headline game of the opening weekend lived up to its billing with Auburn coming from behind in the fourth quarter to stun Oregon in Arlington. Boise State, unsurprisingly to our two podcast hosts, knocked off Florida State in Tallahassee, overcoming an 18-point second-half deficit to beat the Seminoles and earn the Group-of-Five’s biggest win of the young season.

We also saw some surprising upsets, none bigger than Georgia State traveling to Knoxville and upsetting Tennessee, dealing a heavy blow to what was expected to be a breakthrough season in year two under Jeremy Pruitt.

Zach and I wrap-up the first weekend of college football action before turning our attention to a massive week two, featuring a couple of highly-ranked matchups between some legitimate contenders.

Texas-LSU and Clemson-Texas A&M headline a strong slate of week two games, but there’s plenty of other intriguing matchups across the country. We make picks for the five biggest games of the weekend, and then offer up our gambling locks and upset picks for week two as well.
