Ohio State Football: 3 keys for Buckeyes vs. Cincinnati in Week 2
By Dante Pryor
Ohio State football plays the Bearcats in Columbus this weekend and here are some keys to victory for a Buckeye victory in Week 2.
“Take the Bearcats lightly at your own peril.” Ryan Day, you take that quote directly from this article and tape it to every locker in the Ohio State football locker room.
The Cincinnati Bearcats will come into this game with a chip on their shoulders ready to play. This is one of those games where the better team could lose if they think those gray helmets with Buckeye stickers scare the Bearcats.
Even if Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell wants to downplay the fact that he both played and coached in Columbus and 48 of his players are from Ohio and dreamed of wearing the scarlet and gray, yet weren’t recruited by the Buckeyes, he and his players have that on their mind.
Not only that, Fickell remembers what happened the last time the Bearcats played a big game on the national stage. He doesn’t want that to happen again.
Ohio State has every advantage in this game. They’re the home team and “The ‘Shoe” will have most if not all of those 100,000 plus seats filled. They’re the team full of the four and five-star recruits. If they are going to win this game, here’s how they can do it.
