1. Stars must play like stars

From Urban Meyer to Ryan Day, the Buckeyes have recruited well. It was a bit of a coup when Justin Fields decided to transfer from Georgia to Ohio State. They have a roster filled with four and five-star talent. When you look at the Buckeyes, they just look different. You watch Ohio State warm up, and see guys that will play on Sundays someday.

From Fields, to Chase Young, to J.K. Dobbins, and K.J. Hill, and Austin Mack, the Buckeyes have star power. The Bearcats are no slouches, but they don’t have the Buckeyes talent — it isn’t even close. As one of my favorite movies says, “If you want to act like a star, you have to give me a star effort.” (FYI: That’s Remember the Titans)

Ohio State’s stars have to be stars against Cincinnati. Fickell and his staff are going to have his boys ready to play. Fields must have a big day passing and running. Dobbins needs at least 100 yards on the ground. Either Hill or Mack need 100 yards receiving. Chase Young needs a couple of sacks and some tackles for loss.

Cincinnati is going to bring its  “A” game and the Buckeyes better bring theirs. “Take the Bearcats lightly at your own peril.” Yeah coach, go ahead and use that.
