Clemson football welcomes Texas A&M to Death Valley for its first – and maybe last – real test of the 2019 season. Here’s how the Tigers can pull out the win.
If last year’s game is any indication, fans are in for a real doozy of a game come Saturday.
The Tigers’ two-point victory induced a more than welcomed amount of anxiety for Tiger fans in a dream season otherwise dominated by joy – although, the Syracuse game was a close second on the anxiety meter.
Dabo Swinney hasn’t forgotten the excitement. He’s mentioned several times this week that the program was lucky to pull out the victory over the SEC West school last year.
The circumstances surrounding the upcoming game are very different, though. Trevor Lawrence is no longer splitting time with Kelly Bryant and is firmly established as Clemson’s starting quarterback. Kellen Mond enters his second year in Jimbo Fishers system and looks ready to take another step forward. Plus, Clemson is the home team this year.
