2. Joe Burrow must be given time to throw

Joe Burrow needs time to throw the football, and Texas defensive coordinator Todd Orlando is going to do his best not to allow that to happen We’ll see if there’s enough crowd noise to inhibit communication between the linemen of LSU. The Tigers offensive will playwell because they have to play better. It’s going to be hard to win and take care of the ball if the offensive line doesn’t play better.

LSU needs balance to be successful. In order to be balanced on offense, the Tigers need to open lanes for running backs Clyde Edwards-Helaire and John Emery. They don’t need to put their team in a situation where they are one-dimensional because they can’t pass block. Burrow needs a clean pocket to throw in what might be tight windows.

They definitely need to show themselves better than they did against Georgia Southern. They ran for only 3.7 yards per carry. They didn’t dominate the way they should have. Texas and LSU might be even here (defensive line/offensive line), but LSU have to block the run game better to help balance the Tiger offense.
