Justin Fields is Dwayne Haskins 2.0

The season that Justin Fields is about to have is going to be extremely similar to that of what Dwayne Haskins had last season. With a dominant offense, Fields is going to have incredibly inflated statistics. The sophomore transfer will likely end up in New York in December as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

However, just like Haskins, Justin Fields will fall short to another finalist. From an early look, it appears as though Oklahoma Sooners’ quarterback Jalen Hurts has the early lead at Heisman contention. Both Oklahoma and Ohio State will have very strong records to support the Heisman resumes.

Fields finished the game with 224 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-25 completions while rushing for another 42 yards and two more scores.

Everyone was worried about how Ohio State would adjust in the post-Haskins era, but it looks like Fields is doing just fine as QB1.
