There was far more shakeup in college football this week thanks to several great games between ranked opponents. How will the AP Top 25 look?

Now into the second week of September, the varied scribes whose votes comprise the AP Top 25 poll now have two clear data points on most FBS teams around the country. For all but a few college football programs, the regular season is already one-sixth complete.

After so much time waiting over the spring and summer for real action to take place on the gridiron, here we are. There was not much movement in last week’s AP Top 25, after most favorites won out at the top of the poll and only one contest pitting Top 25 teams against one another.

This week there should be far more movement, given the presence of two games on the slate featuring matchups of top-12 squads and several showdowns between contenders on the cusp of the other end of the poll. With far more games on the schedule this week to tease out the contenders from the pretenders, the pollsters will have far more to think about before the AP Top 25 is released.

How will things shake out, and where will teams be situated in the college football hierarchy heading into Week 3? Keep reading for the latest Saturday Blitz projections of the AP Top 25 for the 2019 season.
