The Heisman train that is Oklahoma football’s Jalen Hurts has rolled over another opponent as South Dakota didn’t stand a chance in Week 2.
If you’re not on the Jalen Hurts Heisman bandwagon, you might just have to move out of the way or it’ll run you over.
No one told South Dakota in Week 2. The Coyotes were no match for the Alabama-transfer and he didn’t even play the entire game. Heck, he got just a fraction of playing time that he would normally get because his Sooners were up by about a million points.
Oklahoma ended up winning 70-14 and Hurts’ numbers weren’t eye-popping, by any means, but he was as smooth and consistent against South Dakota as he was against Houston in Week 1.
In fact, Hurts rolled right through the Coyotes with 47 rushing yards acting as the cherry on top of his 14-for-18, 259-yard and three-touchdown sundae. He was as good as anyone on the field and didn’t make any mistakes. Sure, there may have been a throw or two he wanted back, but he was on the money and he made it look easy.
This isn’t the type of game most quarterbacks get up for, but Hurts doesn’t take anything for granted and he had no problem putting up over 300 yards of total offense after his breakout game a week ago.
Hurts might be the best grad transfer of all time and he continues to prove it. He’s leading one heck of an offense that (shockingly) hasn’t skipped a beat after losing Marquise Brown and Heisman-winner Kyler Murray.
Don’t stand in front of the Hurts Heisman train because it’s just going to run you over.
