This was a wild weekend in college football with a couple of ranked matchups and upsets. What did we learn from Week 2 action?

In Week 2, the action only got crazier. There were several overtime games, and for the second week in a row, the primetime game with ESPN’s College GameDay in town lived up to the hype.

There was so much to take away from the weekend, so before jumping into the big five takeaways, here are a few honorable mentions.

Big win in Boulder

The Buffaloes took home the victory in an overtime thriller with Nebraska. Now Mel Tucker, in only his second game as a head coach, already has a signature win under his belt.

Top four hold serve

While it was a wild weekend, the top four teams all won handily. Clemson handled Texas A&M, the Tide rolled over New Mexico State, Georgia dominated Murray State and Oklahoma and Jalen Hurts continued their hot offensive start.

Nittany Lions avoid a scare

Buffalo had a 10-7 lead over Penn State at halftime, but in the second half, quarterback Sean Clifford’s four touchdowns led the Nittany Lions to a 45-13 victory.
