These true freshmen aren’t having any trouble adjusting to the college football game and are already becoming some of the biggest stars on their teams.

Over the last couple of weeks, there have been a number of true freshmen who have really stood out and seem to be playing a notch or two higher than everyone else.

While they might not be widely known quite yet, this year’s batch of freshmen superstars has already begun making a name for themselves and are racking up big numbers in the process.

Consistency has always been one of the most important qualities for a quarterback to have and that’s exactly what Arizona State has been getting out of their new starting quarterback Jayden Daniels these last two weeks. The true freshman hasn’t seemed to have any difficulty adjusting to the college game, as he’s racked up over 600 yards of offense in his first two games and has completed over 60 percent of his passes.

Head coach Herm Edwards has really seemed to have lucked out with Daniels as his quarterback depth chart consists of three true freshmen and one redshirt junior.

With such a small amount of experience at the quarterback position, it could have easily been one of Arizona State’s biggest weaknesses, but with Daniels playing on such a high level it’s appearing to be one of the teams biggest strengths.

As impressive as Daniels has played these last two weeks it’s important not to lose sight of the fact they’ve yet to face a Pac-12 opponent and it’s safe to say Kent State and Sacramento State are probably some of the easiest games on their schedule.

Going forward it should be interesting to see if Daniels can continue to maintain this same level of play when they face off against teams like USC and Utah.
