Georgia football gets one last tune-up against Arkansas State before hosting Notre Dame. Can the Bulldogs avoid looking ahead?

For most Georgia fans, while the beginning of the football season is exciting, it’s the matchup with Notre Dame that has everyone hyped. That game is next week, though, and Georgia still has to deal with Arkansas State.

The Red Wolves are led by quarterback Logan Bonner. He’s had a nice start to the year, compiling 608 yards, six touchdowns, and a passer rating of 141.8. He and head coach Blake Anderson are certainly hoping to bring home an upset against the third ranked team in the country.

Here’s how you can watch:

Date: Saturday, Sept. 14
Time: 12 p.m. ET
Location: Athens, Ga.
Venue: Sanford Stadium
TV: ESPN2
Stream: WatchESPN or FuboTV

Keys to Victory

For Arkansas State to pull the upset, they’ll need a lot of bounces to go their way. If they can force a few early turnovers, and if they can run the ball well, perhaps they can keep this game within striking distance. The Red Wolves are averaging 152 rushing yards per game, and shortening the game with the rushing attack would go a long way towards pulling the upset.

However, Georgia is just so good and so talented. All it really takes for the Bulldogs to win is to play well. No one has to be out of this world, and no one has to truly take over the game. As long as this team plays the median game that they are capable of, they should come home the victors.

Prediction

The Bulldogs will be too much for Arkansas State on Saturday. Between Jake Fromm, D’Andre Swift, Zamir White or any of the talented host of receivers, Georgia has so many offensive weapons.

Georgia got off to a slow start in the first quarter against Murray State, so it wouldn’t be shocking to possibly see a 7-7 or similarly close score at the end of the first, but much like last week, the Bulldogs should pull away.
