Ohio State football dismantled Cincinnati in Week 2. Can the Buckeyes continue that same level of play heading into their Big Ten opener?

Both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Indiana Hoosiers enter their first conference game undefeated, both sitting at 2-0.

For Ohio State they beat FAU in Week 1, a game that the Buckeyes performance went from really good to highly questionable. However, in Week 2, the Buckeyes shut out Cincinnati and showed just how good their offense can be.

The Indiana Hoosiers first two games are quite similar to the Buckeyes as they came away with just a 10-point victory over Ball State but followed that up with a shutout win themselves, beating EIU 52-0.

This match up has the Buckeyes heavily favored but the Hoosiers have shown in recent years that they are an upset threat to the top dogs of the Big Ten East at home.

Here’s how you can watch Saturday’s game between Ohio State and Indiana:

Date: Saturday, Sept. 14
Time: 12 p.m. ET
Location: Bloomington, Ind.
Venue: Memorial Stadium
TV: FOX
Live Stream: FOX Sports Go or FuboTV

Keys to Victory

The Buckeyes need to avoid any step backs. In Week 1 they scored 28 points in about half a quarter of football but then flattened out for the remainder of the game, scoring just 17 points in the final 50 minutes of the game. But their Week 2 output shows they can score via ground or air at ease and need to keep their foot on the pedal for the remainder of the season.

The Indiana Hoosiers have nothing to lose in this one. Expectations are low and it could be a dismal year for the Hoosiers. The Indiana Defense needs to eliminate the big plays and force 2nd and 3rd and long situations to keep the Buckeyes out of the endzone. As for the offense, they’ll most likely have to score 40 points if they want any chance in this one.

Prediction

Despite their reputation of being a difficult team to play at home, the Hoosiers stand know chance in this one. Buckeyes’ quarterback, Justin Fields, continues his hot start and scores multiple touchdowns threw the air and on the ground. Running back JK Dobbins picks up where he left off last week and runs for over 150 yards.

Final: Ohio State 52, Indiana 17
