Sports betting has taken college football by storm and it’s only getting started. Which games in Week 3 action are your best bets to make?

This week is a strange week of college football with not many eye catching games and not a single top 25 matchup. There are a lot of in-state games with the Cy-Hawk game in Iowa, Oklahoma State going to Tulsa and also Pittsburgh vs Penn State.

But, there are also a lot of games with value on the betting side. So what are the best bets this week?

All of the lines are as of 12 p.m. on Friday per Bovada.

4. Arizona State (+15) at Michigan State

At first glance, you might question why this would be a good bet an unranked team going to a tough environment to play a top 20 team. Then you look at how both teams have played and neither has been all that impressive.

The defenses for both teams have been stout, though, and both offenses tend to be run-first teams which leads to the clock to keep churning. This is a revenge game though for the Spartans after losing 16-13 last season.

The Sun Devils realistically need to put up around 14 points to cover the spread as Tulsa held the Spartans to 28 points and Arizona State’s defense is much better than that of the Golden Hurricane. It’s a 4 p.m. ET kickoff which could lead to the crowd not being as into it as it could be.

Brian Lewerke for Michigan State is a solid quarterback but I expect the Spartans to be playing ahead for most of the game and them to keep the ball on the ground. It’s a three-score difference barring a two-point conversion and the biggest loss in the Herm Edwards era for the Sun Devils is 11 points in his first bowl game. Edwards knows how to get his guys to keep it close most likely the Spartans win but the Sun Devils should cover with ease.
