College Football 2019: Best bets for Week 3 action
By Josh Stevens
2. Oklahoma State (-14.5) and team total (Over 30.5) at Tulsa
The Cowboys are going to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane this weekend and the team total would be the play of the weekend to me. The last time the Cowboys have scored less than 31 points against the Golden Hurricane was seven meetings ago also the last time they lost 35-20 in Tulsa.
Under Mike Gundy, though, the Cowboys have played Tulsa three times and are averaging an astounding 61 points per game. Spencer Sanders has played well in his first two games, but Chuba Hubbard is running wild. I expect the Cowboys to surpass that total by at least a full seven points.
For the spread, the Cowboys have won by an average of 31.6 points under Gundy. While I do think this is the best Tulsa team they have had in a while, they should not be able to keep this game close.
This game could get ugly in a hurry for the Golden Hurricane which could lead to some garbage-time scores, but expect them to cover with ease.
