1. AJ Dillon does his thing
It didn’t take AJ Dillon long to get going on Friday night. He found the end zone with 12:41 left in the first quarter, going over the top and flipping into pay dirt. He couldn’t have asked for a bigger first score.
The running back has already been so good in this young season. He came into Friday night’s contest with 167 yards and three scores, along 63 receiving yards and a score through the air as well. he continued that momentum into the matchup with Kansas.
On the night, Dillon had 151 yards on 27 carries, and he found the end zone once. He was the offensive bright spot for the Eagles, and he kept running hard facing a deficit as time dwindled down.
The Eagles suffered a defeat on Friday night, but Dillon once again played like one of the best running backs in the nation.
