With one week left before a matchup with Georgia, here are three bold predictions for Notre Dame football as they take on New Mexico.

After eventually pulling away and taking down Louisville in Week 1, the Irish will have one more “dress rehearsal” before a potentially season-defining meeting with No. 3 Georgia. This isn’t to say that the results of this week are a given, but instead to point out the disparity between this week’s competition and that of the week to follow.

For now, the Irish will be tasked with handling New Mexico after a slow start to the season in 2018. Head coach Brian Kelly has made it clear that he has prepared his team differently than he did when his Brandon Wimbush-led team came out flat at home against Ball State.

Notre Dame will make it a point to come out sharper against New Mexico, heading into the weekend as 35-point favorites over the Lobos.

With the potential for a huge output on Saturday, here are three bold predictions for the Irish as they head into Week 3 of the college football season.
