3. Run game will be too much for Stanford

UCF comes into the game ranked fourth in rushing offense and total offense. They have four game changing backs in Greg McCrae, Adrian Killins, Otis Anderson and Bentavious Thompson, who all found the end zone last week against FAU. The rushing attack has always been great, but the four horsemen have made this one of the top rushing attacks in all of football.

Stanford, meanwhile, has given up 104 rushing yards per game in the first two weeks, and the opponents tell the story. Northwestern was an awful offensive team last year, and has continued to struggle into 2019.

Stanford struggled against USC, and that is telling for the game on Saturday. USC offensive coordinator Graham Harrell and UCF head coach Josh Heupel both run schemes similar to one another that they learned from their playing days under Mike Leach. USC was able to spread the field and attack Stanford early and often, and I expect UCF to run similar sets, and with a better running attack than USC, they’ll see a lot of success.
