USC football has momentum heading into a Week 3 battle with BYU, but the Cougars, too, are coming off an emotional win. What must USC do to win?

USC football has to be feeling high after another strong offensive performance. The Trojans were on fire against Stanford, winning by a score of 45-20. It was so impressive that Todd McShay spent the majority of the second half comparing true freshman Kedon Slovis to Sam Darnold.

Slovis put on a dominating performance against a strong Stanford passing defense, going 28-of-33 for 377 yards and three touchdowns. His throw in the second quarter to Amon-Ra St. Brown was a perfectly lofted 39-yard touchdown between a defending cornerback and safety. It was a throw you’d expect from a fifth-year senior rather than a quarterback in his first career collegiate start.

The game has the Trojans riding high as they head to Provo, where they face a BYU team fresh off of their first win against Tennessee in overtime. Now, the Trojans need to face a team that plays a physical brand, and will look to hit USC receivers at the line of scrimmage and disrupt timing.

Here are the three Trojan keys to victory in Week 3.
