1. Game comes down to final drive

While Washington State may be the favorite, on paper, Houston is going to put up one heck of a fight and push this game into the final minutes.

Anthony Gordon and D’Eriq King are going to have one of the best quarterback duels in the nation to this point in the year and that’ll lead to a shootout-type of game. You won’t quite see a 60-50 final score, but it’ll be up in the high-30s or even low-40s. Both teams can put up some points and you’ll see that on Friday night.

Playing on the road (though it’s technically a neutral site) for the first time this year will be tough for Washington State, especially Gordon, but he’ll shake off the nerves and have a big game. Other players may not have the same luck.

Houston will hold a lead late in the third quarter before Gordon strikes with a touchdown pass to regain the lead in the fourth and it’ll be back and forth until the final drive.

I’m predicting a Washington State win by three points, but it’ll be on a last-second field goal.
