1. Colorado will be just fine despite upset

If you’re a Colorado fan fretting about this loss at home to Air Force, don’t. The Buffaloes started the season 2-0 with an upset win over Nebraska for the second straight year and it’s clear Mel Tucker is bringing that toughness back to Boulder. Upsets seem to always happen in the first year of Power Five coaches who are tasked with turning a program around.

Colorado has the talent to make a bowl game this season and that would exceed all expectations. No one really expected them to even start the year 2-0.

Steven Montez is a solid quarterback and he has some elite receivers. He has talent in the backfield and a defense that has some good tools but needs consistency. They lost an overtime game against Air Force at home, sure, but it’s not the end of the world.

This team has a winning record and already has a big win over the Cornhuskers. There are plenty of positives to build on.
