2. Josh Jackson hit his first bump in the road

OK, let’s not jump off the Josh Jackson bandwagon just yet. He had a strong start to the season and everyone was jumping on the bandwagon and even dubbing him a top-three quarterback in the Big Ten, but he hadn’t truly played a strong defense yet.

Then Temple happened.

Jackson had a rough game, completing just 15-of-38 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown with a pick to go with it. He didn’t have his best showing and that’s going to happen every now and then. You have to remember he’s in a new program learning a new offense and adjusting to a new locker room. Becoming the next Justin Fields isn’t likely for every transfer.

Maryland’s offense couldn’t get much going and Jackson will undoubtedly get most of the blame, but he’ll bounce back from this tough outing.

The Terrapins need to figure out what scored them 140 points through the first two games and get back to that or it’s going to be a long season in the Big Ten.
