Ohio State Football: 3 takeaways from runaway win over Indiana
2. Ohio State offense firing on all cylinders
The halftime numbers on Saturday told the story of just how dominant the Buckeyes were in the first half. Justin Fields was 9-of-16 for 147 yards and two touchdowns. JK Dobbins had, amazingly, already amassed 20 carries, 175 yards, and a touchdown.
There were so many questions about this offense before the year. How would Justin Fields handle his new responsibility? How would Ryan Day adjust to his new role?
On Saturday, the Buckeyes continued to answer those questions in a definitive manner. The Buckeyes would compile 520 yards in the game, with Dobbins accounting for over 200 of them.
The emergence of Chris Olave has been so exciting for the Buckeyes as well. On Saturday, he had three receptions for 84 yards, one of those being a 37-yard touchdown bomb.
This Ohio State offense is its usual self. When you juxtapose it with some of the conference’s top teams, the Buckeyes appear to be in very good shape.
