2. Great quarterback battle

Saturday night featured a very fun matchup of two very different, but both very entertaining quarterbacks.

Virginia’s Bryce Perkins was tremendous as always. Through the air, he went 30-of-41 for 295 yards and a touchdown. He logged two interceptions, but one of those was a senseless shot as time expired at the end of the first half.

Perkins added 46 yards on 12 carries as well.

It was Blackman who was surprisingly solid. He went 22-of-37 for 237 yards and three touchdowns. he didn’t turn the ball over all night long.

The two quarterbacks led dueling touchdown drives in the second half of this matchup. It was Perkins who would be the better player, but both played well and were fun to watch.
