Oregon football, led by Justin Herbert, cruised to a blowout victory over Montana in Week 3 and the all-everything quarterback looked great.

Once again, Oregon and star quarterback Justin Herbert were quacking on all cylinders, handling Montana to improve to 2-1 on the season with a 35-3 victory.

Since falling to Auburn in Week 1 in one of the marquee matchups to date, the Ducks have posted over 100 points in their last two victories, with Herbert looking the part of a future top NFL draft pick.

Of course, anything Herbert actually did against Auburn still looks better and gives us a stronger grasp of his actual skills than the last two games vs. Nevada and Montana. But you can only play the teams on your schedule, and that is what Oregon has done.

3. With Justin Herbert, anything is possible for Oregon

Yes, I realize Nevada and Montana are not Stanford, Washington, Washington State or USC, but there is no denying that — right now — Oregon has the top quarterback in the conference. Yes, the Cougars are firing on all cylinders behind Anthony Gordon, and the Trojans appear to have a budding star in Kedon Slovis, but Herbert has been there and done all of that before.

For the Ducks to be as great as they want to be, they will need Herbert to play like the quarterback that he is: the best out west and one of the best in the country.

He is as accurate as they come, averages almost a first down per attempt, avoids sacks and does not throw interceptions. All the kind of things you want to see from a veteran leader on the field and in the huddle.

Herbert finished his night with 316 yards passing and five touchdowns, completing 30-of-42, numbers we should expect to see once more when Stanford welcomes the Ducks after being completely picked to pieces by UCF Dillon Gabriel.
