3. It just means more

That is usually the tagline of the Southeastern Conference, but usually, it’s a self-serving shot at how much more football obsessed the south is. On Saturday, it became a very real, very true assessment of the days events.

As Arkansas State came to Athens to play Georgia, the Bulldog faithful paid wonderful tribute to the late wife of Red Wolves coach Blake Anderson. Wendy Anderson passed away on August 19th after a battle with cancer.

The Bulldogs would go on to win the football game by a score of 55-0, but that wasn’t the primary focus on Saturday. This wasn’t the first time that Georgia was on the opposing side of a team that faced some serious adversity.

In 2015, in a game against Georgia, Southern University player Devon Gales suffered an injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Several Georgia alumni and donors contributed to building a wheelchair-accessible home for Gales.

Time and time again, Georgia has displayed a ton of class in some very unique, tough situations.
