4. Cal at Ole Miss comes down to the wire

This is the game that everyone should tune in to during that Saturday morning slot. Yes, I know Wisconsin and Michigan face off in that slot as well — which is going to be an exciting one that we will discuss later. However, this is a game that is going to come down to who is built for this kind of matchup and who isn’t.

Ole Miss has struggled much of the year, outside of running back Scottie Phillips, to really get anything going offensively at least on a level of consistency that will be enough to really compete in the SEC outside of their win against Arkansas. Yes, they did well enough against Arkansas and Southeastern Louisiana, but Cal and then Alabama are on the horizon for the Rebels and that doesn’t scream good times for them.

Meanwhile, Cal has found their way into the AP Top 25 after knocking off Washington. Their offense hasn’t put more than 27 points up on the board though throughout the season and that is even playing the likes of North Texas and UC Davis. That doesn’t bode well as the countdown to this game begins.

This won’t be an offensive shoot out like many people wish it would be and like many Ole Miss games have been in the past as they have struggled on the defensive side of the ball, but this year points will come at a premium and it will come down to the wire as to who walks away with a victory.
