Can USC football hold serve at home and right the ship against Utah and get a much needed win in Pac-12 play? Here are three keys to victory.

USC is having some kind of season. The first two quarters started well enough as they debuted the Air-Raid offense against Fresno State, but sophomore quarterback JT Daniels went down with a severe knee injury. Enter Kedon Slovis. He played well and the Trojans escaped with a win. He looked like the second coming in a blowout win over Stanford. Slovis then came down to earth throwing three interceptions in a loss to BYU.

The Trojans are in a must-win at home against a tough Utah team. Here are three keys for the Trojans to escape with a win.

3. USC’s athletes must come to play

The Trojans might have the most talented roster in the Pac-12. They have to come and play against the Utes. They have the better recruits, and the better talent — the Trojans  just haven’t played like it. They have to take advantage of their speed and play making ability.

They have perimeter speed at receiver with Tyler Vaughns and Michael Pittman Jr. and two really good tailbacks in Vavae Malepeai and Stephen Carr. Their playmakers simply need to make plays. Their defense needs to get the ball to the offense, and their athletes need to take the game over.
