Utah football travels to the West Coast to take on USC in Los Angeles. Can the Utes get national respect? Here are three keys for a Utah win.

The Utah Utes travel to Los Angeles to play the USC Trojans Friday night at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Both the Utes and Trojans seek answers. The Utes want to know “Can someone put respect on our name?” while the Trojans are trying to figure out “Can we save Clay Helton’s job for one more week?”

The Utes come off of a shutout of Idaho State 31-0 and are 3-0 so far on the season. Senior quarterback Tyler Huntley has been efficient and has taken care of the football completing 77 percent of his passes and no interceptions. Zack Moss has been fantastic since coming back from a knee injury running for 373 yards and four touchdowns. The defense has been fantastic giving up a meager 9.7 points per game.

The Trojans came up short in a 30-27 overtime loss in Provo against the BYU Cougars. After the injury to starting quarterback JT Daniels, the Trojans turned to true freshman Kedon Slovis who has been, well, a freshman. He’s been good in some areas (77 percent completions) and bad in others (four interceptions in two games). The defense has been good, but not great. They are middle of the road giving up a shade under 25 points per game.

Can the Utes get the road win and some respect?
