Notre Dame and Georgia football headline Week 4 of the 2019 season. Here are three reasons why Georgia will dominate the Irish.
In the most anticipated game of college football’s Week 4 matchups, the Georgia Bulldogs will be taking on Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. No other game thus far into the season has had such grave implications on both teams’ College Football Playoff chances. Both Georgia and Notre Dame enter the game with undefeated.
Given that Notre Dame is an Independent, and therefore have no opportunity to win a conference championship, they will need to post an undefeated season for the College Football Playoff Committee to even consider them as one of the top four teams.
Georgia, on the other hand, has the SEC Conference Championship to fall back on if they enter the post-season with a single loss.
With that said, the Fighting Irish are essentially playing for their season in Week 4. Their only other future opponent that poses any threat is Michigan. Yet, it took double overtime for the Wolverines to beat Army West Point at home, so we can conclude that the Bulldogs are the superior opponent on the Notre Dame schedule.
Undoubtedly, it will be a close game. However, in the end, the Georgia Bulldogs will come out on top. Here are three concrete reasons why Georgia will beat Notre Dame.
