3. Georgia’s dominant run game

Georgia is quickly becoming the new “Running Back U”. In recent years, the Bulldogs have produced dominant running backs like Todd Gurley II, Sony Michel and Nick Chubb. Now, they have one of the most explosive rushers in the country, D’Andre Swift who is averaging an astounding 9.4 yards per carry over three games this season. He could very well be a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

However, he actually may not end up being the best running back on this team. Zamir White, a redshirt freshman, is second in rushing yards on the team. He was set to be a large contributor to last year’s team until he tore his ACL in training camp.

White was slowly being integrated into the offense as his knee is continuously assessed for he is the future for Georgia at this essential position.

Lastly, Brian Herrien and Kenny McIntosh, the two other Bulldogs who have been handed off the ball relatively frequently, have made the most of their opportunities. Herrien, a senior, and McIntosh, a freshman, could very well take over any given game.

All four of these running backs will be used against Notre Dame. Kirby Smart’s ability to rotate in fresh legs at all points of the game makes this team incredibly dangerous. Additionally, the fresh legs will also allow Jake Fromm to be better protected from blitzing Notre Dame linebackers. Look for this group to dominate against the Fighting Irish.
