Michigan football is set to take on the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison this Saturday. The winner is anybody’s guess, but there is some crazy potential.

During the early slot on Saturday — 12 p.m. ET kickoff time — the Michigan Wolverines head to Madison, Wisc., to play the Badgers for the third time in as many years. Two years ago, the matchup was in Madison and saw the Badgers score 17 in the second half of a defensive battle early to remain undefeated to that point. Last season the Wolverines returned the favor under the lights in Ann Arbor and blew out the Badgers.

In both previous matchups, one team was clearly better than the other and the better team won each game. This season, it’s too early to tell. We’re still trying to get a read on both teams. Both are 2-0 with wins over significantly inferior opponents, and except for Michigan struggling two weekends ago against Army, both teams have generally looked good this season.

Both teams are also coming off a bye week as well. If there’s any better chance to see the best these programs have to offer, it’s this Saturday afternoon. No team has the advantage of extra preparation, and each will be fully rested.

Rather than having a responsible conversation about who will win this football game, we’re going to take a stab at some of the more far-fetched, yet still possible, outcomes. If we don’t have a classic knockdown, drag-out, Big Ten battle between these two, it’ll likely be due to one of the following.
