After a win over Colorado State, Arkansas football has one more tune up before SEC play. Here’s all you need to know about the matchup with San Jose State.

For the second year in a row, the Razorbacks played it close with Colorado State. On the bright side though, they played well enough to win this year. They even won by double digits. Wow. I am still not convinced that this team has what it takes to be much better than last year’s squad, but here’s to hoping for their sake right?

This week, the Razorbacks are at home once again, facing off against San Jose State. Here is how you can catch the matchup.

Keys to Victory

The Razorbacks are the bottom of the SEC West right now and that is putting it in the nicest way possible. That isn’t to say there isn’t talent on this game team though and those guys will have to be at their best to make sure that this one doesn’t slip through their fingers.

This one will be more about getting Nick Starkel live reps preparing for Texas A&M next week. The Razorbacks haven’t beat the Aggies yet since they joined the SEC. Could Aggie transfer Starkel be the key? Well, he’s going to have to get more live play time against the likes of San Jose State and use it to prepare him for what lies ahead.

Prediction

This is a Razorback win. There is no question about that. But, I am not sure it will be enough of a challenge for them to be prepared for the rest of SEC play after struggling with a questionable at best Ole Miss team. Starkel and his offense shine in what may be one of the last wins the Razorbacks get this season.

Final Score:  Arkansas 42, San Jose State 14
