In what should be an easy game for the Tigers, LSU football takes on Vanderbilt live from Nashville. Here is what you need to know about this one.

The LSU Tigers currently sit at the No. 4 spot in the nation after a big-time win over the Texas Longhorns. They are clicking on all cylinders offensively and even though the defense hasn’t played at the same level, the offense is doing so much it doesn’t even seem to matter. Maybe we should send the Tigers to the Big 12, they’d fit in well there this season.

On the other side sits Vanderbilt, a baseball school that really doesn’t have much of a hope in this one. Sorry Commodore fans.

Keys to Victory

It is really hard to say just don’t mess up here, but that is really what it is for the Tigers. This is an easy conference win that will help them tune up and hone in on skills before they play Florida in two weeks. It’s Joe Burrow’s chance to continue to play strong offense, but practice spreading the ball out to even more receivers and stretching his legs before they really head into the thick of the schedule.

It is the defense that really needs to grow for the Tigers though and at Vanderbilt is a perfect place to start. Force a turnover or two. Get some pressure on the quarterback. The environment won’t be hostile or anything like that, it’s Vanderbilt. Give yourself the time and the space to make plays and prepare yourself for what lies ahead.

Prediction

This is LSU’s game to lose, it is as simple as that. Vanderbilt just isn’t doing enough right to pull off what I would call the upset of the year. The Tigers get on the board early and often in an absolute rout of the Commodores. So, that’s it. That’s the prediction, y’all.

Final Score: LSU 42, Vanderbilt 14
