Ohio State football gets one last tune-up before beginning a difficult Big Ten stretch. Will the Buckeyes keep the momentum rolling against Miami (OH)?

Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes are a well oiled machine early in the year. Justin Fields has been fantastic at quarterback, with nine touchdowns and no interceptions through a quarter of the year.

The defense has been stout. On the ground, the Buckeyes are giving up a suffocating 1.7 yards per carry. Chase Young already has five sacks, and nine other Buckeyes have gotten to the quarterback as well.

The Buckeyes are massive favorites on Saturday, and this game will serve as one last tune-up before the fun really begins. Next week, Ohio State goes to Nebraska, and tough Big Ten team after tough Big Ten team follows.

Keys to Victory

For an upset to occur, it will take the usual tenants of an upset for the Redhawks. Get turnovers, run the ball to both shorten the game and take the crowd out of the game, convert third downs to similar effect. Is Miami (OH) talented enough to to create turnovers, run the ball, and consistently beat the Buckeyes on third down? It’s unlikely.
