UCF football knocked off Stanford last week 45-27. Now it goes on the road to Pitt, a team looking for revenge after getting blown out last year.

The Knights march on. With their win against Stanford, UCF overcame its first major obstacle of 2019.

UCF taking on a power five opponent was supposed to give them some competition, but the game was over at the end of the first quarter. The Knights jumped the Cardinal, and rode behind an emotional and enthusiastic crowd to a 28-7 lead. They won 45-27, in a game that could’ve been an even bigger blowout.

For Pitt, they come off an emotional loss to Penn State in Week 3. Pitt were able to stay in the game, and have some success, but eventually Penn State won out, and the Panthers travel back across state with the loss.

When these two teams played last season, UCF ran them out of Orlando, winning  45-14. Pitt did get better, eventually winning the ACC Coastal division, but the Knights still come in heavy favorites, coming in as 11.5 point favorites on the road.

With both teams coming off emotional contests, UCF with a prove it game and Pitt with a rivalry contest, it’s very possible both teams come out flat in this contest. But UCF has finally been getting the recognition it feels it has deserved for a few years now, and they must continue to prove it in week four. Here are the Knight’s three keys to continue their winning ways at Pitt.
