2. Cougs blow it open

This Washington State team might be one of the most talented teams that Mike Leach has had in a long time. Building off of the great year that they had last year where they went 11-2 and came out with an Alamo Bowl win.

The combination of the Bruins having another atrocious start to their season, and the Cougs flying high to start their season might just be a recipe for success in Pullman. While the Bruins have given up 31 points a game and over 460 yards per game as well, the Washington State offense could blow this one open really early.

The spread of 18.5 favoring the Cougars shows that no one really expects this game to be close. It might get even uglier than that really early has the sold-out crowd at Martin Stadium is expecting fireworks from their undefeated WSU football team. This could put Chip Kelly on the hot seat in the worst way as the Bruins limp into Pullman losing all three to open the season.
