1. Alex Hornibrook took over once James Blackman was injured

Alex Hornibrook was going to get playing time against Louisville regardless of what happened today. Hornibrook even threw a touchdown in the first quarter before the Blackman injury. James Blackman got injured early in the third quarter and did not go back into the game, letting Hornibrook finish the game at quarterback.

Hornibrook looked good for the most part today as he finished the day completing 15-of-20 passes for 255 yards and two passing touchdowns. He took care of the ball for Florida State and led the Seminoles back to win the game, after they blew the lead. Blackman was playing fine before he got injured as he was 11-of-14 passing for 127 yards.

Hornibrook did a good job keeping his eyes downfield and was very efficient with the ball. He also demonstrated his ability to move around a bit as he escaped the pressure through out the game. It will be interesting to see who they will go with moving forward, depending on Blackman’s status and if his injury will keep him out or not. All in all, good performance for Hornibrook to help the Seminoles get them a win.
