Texas A&M Football: 3 overreactions to loss vs. Auburn in Week 4
By Shelbie Warr
1. Looking forward to the rest of the season
This team went from being in the running for second in the SEC to many thinking that their year was all but over in the matter of four weeks. The Aggies, however, only have two losses to No.1 Clemson and No. 7 Auburn. Neither of those are that bad. The downfall, though? They still have to face off against LSU, Georgia and Alabama — all of which are chilling in or around the top five.
Many are now expecting 7-5 at best and that is probably about accurate. This team has a lot to turn around in two weeks before they host Alabama if they want the season to go any better than what is now expected. And then they end the season with the likes of Georgia and LSU back to back on the road? Things could get dicey.
Don’t write off Mississippi State or Ole Miss though, or even Arkansas. Those are games this team can’t afford to lose after starting the season 2-2. They should railroad the Razorbacks this weekend, but they can’t take any team lightly. They don’t want to miss bowl eligibility this season and if things don’t get better all-around for Texas A&M football.
