Michigan football is coming off of one of their worst losses in the Jim Harbaugh era. Here is the Wolverines’ report card coming off the loss.
The Wolverines weren’t favored in this Wisconsin game, nor should they have been. However, not many people saw this coming. The Wolverines were out-played, out-manned and out-coached by the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison 35-14 early Saturday afternoon.
Nothing went right for the Wolverines on Saturday. They couldn’t get anything going on offense, and Wisconsin got anything they wanted on defense.
Michigan was depleted in their backfield with starting running back Zach Charbonnet injured and not 100 percent. Their veteran offensive line got pushed around all game long. Worst of all, the turnover issue crept up in this game much like it did the week before against Army.
Wisconsin, on the other hand, kept humming along.
Although they had shut out both opponents they played, not many were impressed by the Badgers dominating South Florida and Central Michigan. However, they were executing as flawlessly as you can on offense and had nasty on defense. That continued against the Wolverines.
Michigan had no answers and looked ready to go home by the third quarter. Here’s a report card of the Wolverines’ performance.
