Oklahoma football plays host to Texas Tech as it shoots to stay undefeated. Here are three reasons why the Sooners should feel good.
Oklahoma football and the high-flying offense of the Sooners host the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Jalen Hurts and the Sooners have enjoyed a big 3-0 start with an average of 55 points scored a game.
With the offense scoring at will, we should see a better test from the Red Raiders as they are averaging only 133 pass yards allowed per game and look to stop the Sooner offense for the upset.
Texas Tech is coming into the game with an unexpected 13.7 points per game allowed. As a program that has a long history of their proud offense, the defense has stolen the show in the first three games. Something has to give as the Red Raiders come into Norman looking to upset the top ten ranked Sooners.
The Alabama-transfer senior quarterback has started off his Oklahoma career on absolute fire. With 373 rushing yards in the first three games in addition to his 880 yards through the air and 13 total touchdowns, Hurts has solidified not only his place in Norman but his place in the Heisman race as well.
We could be looking at the third consecutive Heisman Trophy winner from the Oklahoma Sooners in Jalen Hurts. The Sooners will have to overcome the hype and get their first Big 12 win at home this season as the Red Raiders try and play spoiler.
So why will Oklahoma beat Texas Tech?
