2. Jayden Daniels passes for 250 yards with two scores

Cal has one of the best defenses in not just the Pac-12 but the entire country. The secondary has been stingy this season which means Jayden Daniels might just face his toughest test to date.

Michigan State’s defensive backfield has toughened Daniels up, and he rose to the occasion to finish the game off with a big touchdown in the final minute. He wasn’t all that effective through the air against the Spartans, but he showed signs of growth that he carried over to the Colorado game.

Even in a loss, Daniels looked solid versus the Buffaloes and he’s only getting stronger.

Cal allows about 225 yards per game through the air but Daniels will surpass that average with 250 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers.

Will it be enough for a win? Maybe, but it will definitely put him on college football’s map as a future Heisman contender.
