The North Carolina State Wolfpack travel to the sunshine state to open their ACC schedule against the Florida State Seminoles who have already played two conference games.
The Seminoles are trying to build on a win that wasn’t perfect, but they fought to come back and win. The Wolfpack come in after being out-gained by the the Ball State Cardinals 408-389, yet found a way to win. Both the Wolfpack and the Seminoles come into this game with a lot to fix.
Can the Seminoles fix their issues enough to come away with a win against the Wolfpack? Here are three keys to a Seminole win.
3. Confuse the young QB
This has been the year of the young quarterback. Everyone has one, and everyone has to play. North Carolina State is no different.
The Wolfpack’s freshman quarterback, Matthew McKay has been good against bad teams, and has struggled against the one good team they’ve played, and then there’s the Ball State game. If Florida State can harass McKay the way West Virginia did, that would make life hard for the first-year starting quarterback.
The Seminoles definitely have the defensive line that can get after McKay and force him into mistakes.
