Washington football hosts the USC Trojans in Seattle, Washington this Saturday. What can we expect from this ranked Pac-12 matchup in Week 5?
Washington football is coming off of a huge win against a fairly impressive BYU team in week 4. Taking care of the Cougars early and walking out of Provo with a 45-19 win. USC also had a great week last week, knocking off the highest-ranked Pac-12 squad at home, the Utah Utes.
Jacob Eason had the Huskies rolling in Provo, throwing for almost 300 yards and adding three touchdowns through the air as well. Aaron Fuller also had a nice game against the Cougars, having one receiving touchdown and running a punt return back for a touchdown as well. Eason and Fuller both are starting to look more comfortable in this Huskies offense and look to continue that success at home.
USC is going through a bit of a streak of bad luck. Down to their third-string quarterback Matt Fink, after Kedon Slovis went out with a concussion. Slovis took a hard hit in the first quarter that knocked him out of the game. Luckily, Fink picked the offense up right where they left off and accounted for three touchdowns. Fink led the Trojans to their second conference win, beating the Utes 30-23.
It is unclear if Slovis will be medically cleared to play on Saturday. Matt Fink looks like a usable starter but is still set as 9.5-point underdogs on the road in his first true road game in a hostile environment. The Huskies will do everything they can to make sure Fink is uncomfortable on Saturday night. Here are three bold predictions for what we might see in Seattle.
