2. This was a tale of two halves offensively

The score was 7-0 with Baylor taking the lead into halftime. There was virtually no offense at all during the first half. Even though Baylor scored, it came with under one minute left in the half.

At one point, Baylor had nine plays that totaled nine yards. Iowa State did not fair much better. While Iowa State did have a missed field goal and had a kick blocked in the first half, it still ended up with zero points on the board.

The second half was much different, though. Both offenses were able to move the ball and the once defensive-dominated game became and offensive-dominated contest. Baylor was able to move the ball through out the game second half, while Iowa State came alive later in the game once the fourth quarter came around. Iowa State was down 20-0 and scored 21 unanswered points in less than 11 minutes.

So while the defense showed out in the first half, the offense showed out in the second half.

Football fans got to see all phases of football today. They saw good offense and bad offense as well as good defense and bad defense. Even the kicking game came through for Baylor at the end of the game.
