For the first time in three years, College GameDay will have a female celebrity picker ahead of the Ohio State vs. Nebraska game in Lincoln.

Some recent history is being made on Saturday afternoon as College GameDay will have its first female celebrity picker in three years.

Gabrielle Union may have gone to school at UCLA, but she has always had a place in her heart for Nebraska. She grew up in Omaha, so being a Cornhusker from birth is her reason for falling in love with the program. She’s watched the Cornhuskers since they were in the Big 8.

Now the actress gets to talk football on set with Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Rece Davis ahead of her favorite team’s biggest game of the season against Ohio State.

Union is one of the more rare celebrities who actually attends her favorite school’s contests on a regular basis as she’s often in Lincoln on game day. She’s a huge Nebraska fan, so you can bet she won’t be picking against the Cornhuskers and she might get a “Not so fast!” from Corso or maybe even one of his famous “good pick, good pick” responses.

There aren’t many supporters of Nebraska football as prominent as Union and she even brought her now-retired NBA player husband Dwyane Wade to some games at Memorial Stadium and he might just be a converted Cornhusker — Marquette doesn’t have a team, after all.

Tune in on Saturday morning to see who Union picks as she offers up her vast knowledge of the sport. Some celebrity pickers don’t quite have the passion for college football, but Union is different.
