Ohio State football went to Nebraska and won in a blowout. What did we learn from the Buckeyes’ Week 5 victory in Lincoln?

With ESPN College GameDay in town, and the crowd at a fever-pitch, Ohio State could not have had a better performance on Saturday night. They went into one of the country’s most passionate stadiums, hosting one of its biggest games in years, and came out with a 48-7 victory.

What’d we learn from the Buckeyes’ dominant win?

3. Buckeyes are a complete team

On Saturday, Ohio State showed the kind of versatility that only elite teams possess. They have the ability to score quickly, behind the arm of Justin Fields and the hands of Austin Mack, KJ Hill, and Chris Olave.

They can also grind teams out, on the legs of JK Dobbins and Master Teague, along with the quarterback contributing. Against the Huskers, they won the time of possession battle with 36:54 to Nebraska’s 23:06.

The defense was elite as well, holding the Huskers to only 47 passing yards, and 4-of-12 on third down. Whether it be the pass rusher Chase Young, or the cornerback Jeffrey Okudah, this is another Buckeye defense that will produce several NFL talents.

This can all be summed up in a single sentence. Ohio State can win a national championship.
